He was predeceased by: his parents, Truman Dawson and Ollie Dawson of Tyler County, WV.; and his siblings, Joe Dawson, Betty Travis, Bonnie Boor and Roberta Beaver.
He is survived by: his children, Carrie House (Terry), John Michael Dawson (Kimberly) and Kristy Dawson (Justin Marsh Sr.); his grandchildren, Shawn Dawson, Justin Marsh Jr., Kortney Dawson, Katelyn Marsh, Brittany Woods (Zack) and Bridget Smith; his great grandchildren, Bailey, Zoey, Briella Colton, Caleb, Braxtyn, Bostyn and Justin III; and his siblings, Barbara Gump and Truman "Junior" Dawson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305, USA).
