He was predeceased by: his daughter Marie; his sisters, Anne Marie, Martha Kelly (Jon) and Phyllis Griffith (Mike); and his parents, John Paul and Dolores Friess Stephenson.

He is survived by: his son David (Tonya); his grandchildren, John Daily (Ali), Anne Sharp (Steve) and Prudence Stephenson; his great grandchildren, Nathan, Lucas Daily, Charlie and Payton Sharp; and his sisters, Mary Kase (Jeff) and Alice D'Attoma (John). He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews and 6 great-nieces and nephews.
