He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Sarlouis and Mary Sarlouis; his wife Martha Sarlouis; his son Joe Jr.; and his sisters, Margie James, Marcela Kilfoyle and Eileen D'Aurelio.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Anne Cottman (Evans), Patrick, Martin, Robert, John (Margaret) and William Sarlouis; his grandchildren, Maria Pinzone, Bess Pinzone, Joseph Pinzone, Basil Pinzone (Erin), Laura Hyres (Jim), Charles Pinzone, Benjamin Pinzone, Matthew Sarlouis, Brian Sarlouis and Maris Sarlouis; his great grandchildren, Connor Sarlouis, Cole Sarlouis, Leo Pinzone and Jimmy Hyres IV; and his sisters-in-law, Dolores and Bonnie Halmasy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and family.
