She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Hixson and Martha Hixson; her sister Westeen Welty; her son Sam Lockhart; and her former husband A. R. Lockhart.
She is survived by: her husband Bob Shaw; her son Bob Lockhart (Lori); her grandchildren, Ryan (Val), Chrissy (Mike), Sheena, Chad (Jenna), Courtney (Michael), Brandey, Matthew (Kaleigh) and Sam (Samantha); her great grandchildren, Halle, Gabby, Casey, Cadence, Lincoln, Mikey, Asher, William, Mason, Luke, Maeve and Maverick; her nieces, Rondeen White (Gary) and Ronda Nestlerode (Greg); and her nephew Rodney Welty (Sharon).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the name of Joyce Shaw to the American Cancer Society.
