She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Gresock and Katherine Gresock; her sister Helen McElwain (Dick); her brothers-in-law, Robert McCarty and Donald Gross; her niece Patricia; and her great-nephew Nick Gross.

She is survived by: her husband John Richard "Dick" McCarty; her sister Dorothy Gross; her sister-in-law Barbara; her grandsons, Kyle and Bret; her son Thomas (Alison); her granddaughters, Grace and Eve; her daughter Maureen Slone (Craig); her granddaughter Kelly; her stepgrandchildren, Holly Slone, Tucker, Devri and Harlen; her son John (Marianne); her grandsons, Jack Andrew (Irma), Brian (Jennifer) and Colin; her son Robert (Susan); her grandchildren, Colleen, Caroline and Kevin; her son Richard (Maureen); her grandchildren, Rory, Michael and Hope Schneider (Justin); her great grandchildren, Stella, Mackey, Isla, Jacqueline Cook (Connor) and Cameron; her grandchildren, Katherine, John, Samuel and Marielle; her son David (Felicity Hillmer); Suzanne. She is also survived by her seven children, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
