He was predeceased by: his parents, George Washington Stalter and Elizabeth Cecilia Stalter; and his siblings, Helen Tetzel, Marjorie Beichler, Marilyn Bragg, Eddie Joe Stalter, Gary Stalter and Mary Bernardine Stalter.

He is survived by: his wife Eloise M. Stalter; his children, Brian Stalter (Nancy), Leo C. Stalter, Katherine Schubert (Donald) and George Stalter (Anne Maj); and his grandchildren, Leo Stalter, Jessica Olandt (Tyler), Alexandra Vera (Kevin), Sydney Gutilla (Sam), James Schubert, Ethan Schubert, Stellan Stalter and Sofia Stalter. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church or the Shamrock Cultural Charities.
