It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ljubica Curko (Akron, Ohio), who passed away on July 18, 2025, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Ljubica departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Ljubica. Though Ljubica may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She is survived by: her children, Bojan and Bojana Bugarin; her son-in-law Sreto; her grandchildren, Lazar and Milica; and her siblings, Zoran (family: Stjepan, Anto) and Nada (family: Marina, Milica). She is also survived by his family, Stjepan and his family.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Demetrius Serbian Orthodox Church (3106 Ridgewood Rd, Akron, OH 44321). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Monastary Marcha Cemetery (5095 Broadview Rd, Richfield, OH 44286).
