With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marion A. Montabone of Akron, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 2, 2025 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marion A. Montabone to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her significant other Robert Montabone; and her daughter Peggy. She is survived by: her children, Ray Lewis, Nancy Fox (John), Bob Montabone (Pat), Michael Montabone (Lisa) and Mary Marotta (Mark); her son-in-law Robert Jacob; and her sisters, Minnie and Margaret. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Anthony Funeral Home - Akron Chapel (1990 S Main St, Akron, OH 44301). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Parish (1580 Brown St, Akron, OH 44301). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (100 E Waterloo Rd, Akron, OH 44319). A reception will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 12:45 PM at the Anthony Funeral Home - Akron Chapel (1990 S Main St, Akron, OH 44301).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent dePaul Society via the church.
