She was predeceased by: her parents, Josie Frances Byers Jackson and John L Jackson; her son Scott Aaron Hollis; her siblings, Jackie Daugherty (Harry), Aaron Jackson and John Jackson (Pat); and her son Derrell R. Hollis Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Derrell Robert Hollis Sr.; her daughters, Debby Hollis and Cindy Hollis; her grandson Michael Sharrow (Jacqui); her great grandchildren, Elayna, Sophie and Merriona; her grandchildren, Joshua Sharrow, Kathleen Long (Kowaski Martin) and Ashley Wise (Jeff); her great grandchildren, Lily Beth Jo and Matthew; her grandchild Christie Thompson (Sam); her great grandchild Caleb; her granddaughter Sarah Magrell; and her sister Bettie Finney (Wayne). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Rose Hill Funeral Home & Burial Park (3653 W Market St, Akron, OH 44333).
Although she bravely battled Alzheimer's with trusting in God, she never lost her kindness, her smile, gratitude towards others, her soft mannered nature, and her good spirit.
