She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank LaPenna and Anna LaPenna; her husband James; and her brother Don LaPenna. She is survived by: her son Jim McGowan (Stacy). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (1034 Brown St, Akron, OH 44301). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Church (1034 Brown St, Akron, OH 44301). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (100 E Waterloo Rd, Akron, OH 44319).
