She was predeceased by: her parents, Neal Harris and Lula Bryant; her husband Reverend Willie L. James, Sr.; her children, Leon T. James, Willie L. James, Jr., Linzy C. James and Annette L. Oglesby; and her siblings, Charlie Harris, T. J. Harris, Clifford Harris, Ted Harris, Willie L. Harris, John Bryant, Ethel L. Sibley, Edna Louise Harris, Hazel Harris and Alice McCullum.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Erika (Petie Pie); her adoptive son Jeff Gwen (Ann); and her caregivers, Bruce Bowden and Cindy Reed. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 31 great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church (7903 Kinsman Rd, Cleveland, OH 44104). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
