She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles N. Hardenstine and Bertha E. Hardenstine (Rupp); her husband Robert S. Gahres; her son Jeffery R. Gahres; and her siblings, William, Harry, Howard, Harold, Kenneth Hardenstine, Evelyn Gassert, Amy Tatum, Jennie Wise and Beatrice Blouch.
She is survived by: her children, Paul H. Gahres (Mary), Sharen F. Schneier, Melanie L. Gahres and John M. Gahres (Cathy); her siblings, Ronald Hardenstine (Barbara) and Mary Spangler; and her nieces, Barbara Buffenmeyer and Linda Miller. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
