With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Nancy Schwab Hamlin (Akron, Ohio), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Nancy left this world on September 12, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Schwab and Harry Schwab; her siblings, Marjorie Schwab, Jean McChesney, Dorothy Trecaso and Harry Schwab, Jr.; and her son-in-law Peter Sorum.
She is survived by: her daughter Claire of Fairlawn; her stepdaughter Priscilla (Tim); her children, Holly of Chicago, Illinois and Barry (Jill) of Florence; her grandchildren, Caroline (TJ), Madeline and Jake; her son David (Kathy) of Easley; her grandchildren, Megan, Erin (Cody) and Casey (Austin); her great grandchildren, Kyle, Reagan, Tucker, Bennett, Parker, Ronan, Miles, Palmer, Grace and Fletcher; and her sister-in-law Jane Schwab.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Sebastian Catholic Church (476 Mull Ave, Akron, OH 44320). A Mass will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
