She was predeceased by: her parents, Hollis Howe and Edith Howe (Turner); her husband Richard Shanafelt; her brother William Howe (Emma); her siblings-in-law, Donald, Dorothy Harshbarger, Chester and Doris Harshbarger; her son-in-law David L. Weidaw, Sr.; and her stepson Terry Kettering.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Weidaw, Cathy Calvelli (David R.) and Richard H. Harshbarger (Deborah); and her stepdaughters, Candace Smith (David) and Joy Kettering. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to Springfield Church of the Brethren.
