The family announces the passing of Olga Henkel of Akron, Ohio on September 21, 2026. Olga, born on January 18, 1933, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Steve (Mary Roberts) and Akron; her husband Kenneth; and her siblings, Ted Roberts, William Roberts, Martha Roberts, Patrina Kepenash and Tillie Merrell.
She is survived by: her daughter Michele Bashein (Craig); her grandchildren, Alec (Gwen), Lauren and Kyle; and her great grandchildren, William and Baby Bashein. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM. A graveside service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at the St. Nicholas Orthodox Cemetery (1616 Krumroy Rd, Akron, OH 44312).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church.
