We are sad to announce that on April 19, 2024, at the age of 14, Rakaya McMullen of Akron, Ohio, born in Jamestown, Pennsylvania passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rakaya McMullen to pay them a last tribute.

In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Rakaya leaves behind and her impact on our lives. Though Rakaya may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear, a guiding light that illuminates our paths in times of darkness.

She was predeceased by : her sister Paige Marie Smith. She is survived by : her mother Lorie Smith-McMullen; and her caregivers, Heidi Jones and Angela Bauer.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel (760 E Market St, Akron, OH 44305).

She was part of Replay For Kids, the Dane Foundation and Miss Wheelchair USA, the Haven of Rest, and Calico.
