He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Cross Sr. and Louise Cross; his wife Synesica "Jean" Cross; and his siblings, Tom Cross Jr. (Bobbie) and Annie Lousie Cross.

He is survived by: his children, Nettie Cross-King, Pamela Cross, Renaldo Tyson (Linda), Marvin Tyson (Brandy), Raphael Cross Jr. and Charlotte Cross. He is also survived by beautiful grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, great- nieces, nephews, great- nephews, extended family, friends, and special friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home (529 W Thornton St, Akron, OH 44307). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the St. John C. M. E. Church (1233 S Hawkins Ave, Akron, OH 44320). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at the Greenlawn Cemetery (2580 Romig Rd, Akron, OH 44320).
