It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Filmore Crawley of Akron, Ohio, who passed away on April 18, 2026, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Crawley and Lillian Crawley (Tweedy); his wife LaVonne Reed; his children, Jan Sidle and Richard Crawley; his sister Margaret Jones; his sons-in-law, Bernie Thomas and Fred Luecke; his grandchildren, Bernie, Sean Thomas and Lisa Thomas; and his great grandchild Sloane Harris.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sherryl Thomas (Paul Mills), Kathy Luecke (Chris Andres), Pat Fischer (Klaus) and Cindy Hawk (Tim); his daughter-in-law Norma Crawley; his grandchildren, Michelle Adams (Dave), Fred (Michelle), Mark, Jeff (Stephanie), Eric (Kelly), Todd Luecke (Emily), Doug Fischer (Meeghan), Jennifer Julian (David), Brian Sidle (Sarah), Adam Sidle, Amy Harris (Russell), Emily Starling (Kevin), Ashley Sidle, Benjamin Hawk (Kristin), Abigail Lichtsinn (Andy), Ricky Crawley (Eri), Aubrey Lee (Matt) and Spencer Crawley; his great grandchildren, Jordyn Salazar, Morgan Neal (Hayden), Matthew, Michael, Maddy, Makayla, Lauren, Camy, Jill, Emily, Quinn, Charlie Luecke, Collin Julian, Isaac, Wesley, Paige Sidle, Hunter Harris, Ellie, Jack Starling, Amelia Hawk, Elizabeth Lichtsinn, Richard Crawley (Nagy) and Chloe Lee; and his caregivers, Ratanna, Shea, Cathy and Andy.
