He was predeceased by: his father Ivan Gillis. He is survived by: his mother Marilyn Gillis; his sister Marla Gillis; and his close friend Dorathy Wilson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home (547 Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44312). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
