He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace P. Ormsby and Jean Ormsby; and his sister Janet Ormsby Hafterson. He is survived by: his sister Donna Young. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

He was also a supporter of the American Red Cross and a member of the Heritage Foundation.
