We announce the death of Ronald D. Taylor of Akron, Ohio, who passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parent Renwick Taylor; his grandfather Dr. Ernest Taylor; his parent Beverly Taylor Kime of Toledo, Ohio.; his brother Gary Taylor; and his close friends, Earl Ertman and Dave McMurray.
He is survived by: his aunt Martha; his uncle Dick Tubbs; his wife Shirley Taylor (Scheuerman); his children, Lisa Kindleburg (Ken), Scott Taylor (Ling) and Tracy Taylor (Doug Hoerr); his grandchildren, Sophie Smith (Xavier), Alex Taylor, Graham Hicks, Neil Taylor (Dianne), Malcolm Hoerr and Amelia Hoerr; his sisters-in-law, Martha Muszynki (Taylor) and JoAnn Dudley; and his nephew Jon Taylor. He is also survived by three step-grandchildren; multiple great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bath Church - United (3980 W Bath Rd, Akron, OH 44333). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at the Bath Church (3980 W Bath Rd, Akron, OH 44333).
