He was predeceased by: his brother Danny Smoot; and his sister-in-law Olga Smoot. He is survived by: his wife Eileen; his daughters, Julie Vandegrift (Ryan) and Jessica DiMichele (Austin); his grandson Antonio; and his siblings, Jimmy Smoot (Diane), Fred Smoot, Stephanie Robertson (Mark), Jeff Smoot (Nancy) and Kelly Drayer (David).
