He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. Billy and Anne M. Billy. He is survived by: his sister Yvonne Weidner (Pat); his sister-in-law Katherine Billy; his children, Stephen J. Billy (Annette Girondi), Karen Elliott (Danny), Douglas Billy (Wendy) and Susan Brooks (Richard); and his grandchildren, Maren, Erin, Joel, Caden and Reese. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The military honors was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 9:45 AM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273). A celebration of life was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the The Center (2491 Canfield Rd, Akron, OH 44312).
In lieu of flowers, donation checks can be made in Steve's name to The Great Trail Council (Boy Scouts of America) at 4500 Hudson Drive, Stow, OH 44224.
