It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Susan Marie Donahue of Akron, Ohio, who passed away at the age of 68, on July 29, 2025. As we bid adieu to Susan Marie's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Susan Marie has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph McDonnell and Ruth McDonnell (Murray); and her sister Mary Joan McDonnell. She is survived by: her husband Robert Donahue; her sons, Ryan and Brendan; her stepsons, Kevin (Lexie) and Chris Donahue; her grandchildren, Regan and Kiera Donahue; and her caregiver Christine.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Hilary Catholic Church (2750 W Market St, Fairlawn, OH 44333). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

“What I’ll always remember about Susan is how kind, welcoming and helpful she was to me when I showed up for my first day of work as a new grad CRNA in 1989, never before having been in those ORs. Then a couple months later at my first PAS Christmas party she extended that same kind welcome to my wife, which left a lasting impression. May she rest in peace in paradise, her struggle and suffering over, and may her family & friends take comfort in the many memories we all have of Susan”
