It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Raymond Balchak of Akron, Ohio, born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 7, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Balchak and Carylin Balchak (Hovanec); and his sister Barbara Porter. He is survived by: his children, Katianne Balchak, Rose Cvengros (Mike) and Patrick Balchak; his grandchildren, Aubrey and Jack Henderson; and his siblings, Kathy Case, Frank Balchak (Sue), Gerry Slipski (Ron) and Carrie Pearce.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Catholic Church (1580 Brown St, Akron, OH 44301). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 1:15 PM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273).
