He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Bentley-Yates; his children, Patricia Brown-Yates, André Yates-Bills, Lee Troy Yates, Sr. and Glen Yates-Lott; his stepchildren, Casondra Black (Cameron) and Thomas Bentley, Jr.; his sisters, Lula Mae Pryor, Sammie Yates, Emma Yates-Hill and Doris Yates-Brown; his grandchildren, Cherise Yates, Dallas Yates-Brown, Detroit Yates-Brown, Lodie Bills-Colson, Christie Lott, Alana Bills, Lee Troy Yates, Jr. and Andrae Bills; and his stepgrandchildren, Cameron Black II (Kierra), Curtis Black (Madisan) and Alyssa Bentley. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
