He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Birch and Viola Birch. He is survived by: his wife Anna; his daughter Christina Nihart; his stepsons, David Martin (Tracey) and Marc Martin (Gina); his sister Patsy Lethgo; his grandchildren, Anthony, Craig, Christopher, Jaret, Hayley, Kristyn, Addison, Brooke, Joshua and Jacob; and his great grandchildren, Julia, Wyatt and Damian.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Schlup-Pucak & Wilson Funeral Home (788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron, OH 44314). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 12:45 PM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273).
