He was predeceased by: his father Merle Smith. He is survived by: his son Joey; his pet Sammie Sweetheart; his mother Dorothy Vander Linden Smith; his mother-in-law Joann Letta; his sons, Michael Lytz (Paula), Andrew Lambes Elisa (Matt) and Joseph S Smith (Maddie); his siblings, Pam Barkley (Joe) and Guy Smith (Linda); his grandchildren, Anna, Caroline, Braden, Charlie, Cruz, Lucas and Nora; his sisters, Michelle Stephanie (Orlando Rodriguez) and Many; and his close friends, Patti, Doc Kilgore (Parks), Frank, Phyllis Zahler, Nancy, Larry Stott, Terri, Rick Mills, Jim, Ramona Hicks and Jerry Foys.
