We are sad to announce that, on August 8, 2023, at the age of 96, Willis John Babak (Akron, Ohio) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, Joseph (Elizabeth), Frank (Roseann) and Lillian (John); and his granddaughter Katherine Babak. He is survived by: his wife Grace; his children, Johnette Luxeder (Tom), Cynthia Babak (Paul Witcover), Vincent Babak (Rebecca) and Michael Babak (Nancy); his grandchildren, John (Kim), David Luxeder (Emily), Clair Dabernig (Robby), Elane Babak (Justin), Gracie Samadjopoulos and Ryan Babak; and his great grandchildren, Matt, Megan, William, Sean Luxeder, Jacob and Layla Dabernig. He is also survived by his family and friends.

“Mike, Nancy (Nube), and family. My sincere condolences to you all on your Dad’s passing. What a life he led and what a legacy he left behind. Although I didn’t see him very often, when I did, he always impressed me to be a good and honorable man. Plus, in his youth, he hung out with my father-in-law, Bob along with their third amigo, Johnny. Bob often shared their boyhood stories that, to this day, bring a smile. May he Rest In Peace and now pick up where that old gang left off.”
