With sadness, we share the passing of Debra West of Albany, Ohio. Debra, born on August 26, 1952, passed away on October 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Debra for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While she will be deeply missed, the influence she had on the lives around her remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. Debra’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences she brought to the world.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dennis Childress and Doris Beveridge Childress; her husband Barry West; and her siblings, Jody Childress and James "Lou" Childress.
She is survived by: her children, Travis West (Carma) of Albany and Kelly West of Athens; her granddaughter Raegan West; and her sister-in-law Bonnie Childress of Pittsburgh, PA.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home (5258 Washington Rd, Albany, OH 45710). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
