He was predeceased by : his parents, Kenneth G. Smart and Blanche J. Dye Smart. He is survived by : his wife Sheilla Smart; his sons, David Smart and Ed Smart of Albany; his stepchildren, Isaiah Caldwell of Wellston, Jasiah Caldwell of Michigan and Brandi Fowler; and his siblings, Kenneth Smart of Albany, Carolyn Smart of Albany and Marilyn Bobo of Albany. He is also survived by his daughter; 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.
