Larry Raines Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elba LaVoyd and Alice Steele Raines; his brother James; his parents-in-law, Kenneth Mossman and Neva Mossman; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Mossman and Wendell Combs.

He is survived by: his wife Thelma Mossman; his children, Lee Raines (Michelle) and Kara Bolin (Allen); his grandchildren, Meghan Fournier (Tim), Lauren Hill (Jordan), Karsyn Raines, Mike Bolin, Chris Wingett (Kat Kroutel) and Connor Wingett (Macy); and his great grandchildren, Averie, Neva, Walker, Lane, Josie and Millie.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bigony Jordan Funeral Home (5258 Washington Rd, Albany, OH 45710). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Athens Church of Christ (785 W Union St, Athens, OH 45701).

The family suggests donations to the Spartan Athletic Club to support Larry's love of Alexander sports, floral arrangements to honor his love of the outside and all types of flowers, or any other way you wish to honor our great patriarch.
