Richard H. Akers Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 11, 2025, at the age of 81, Richard H. Akers of Albany, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Akers and Susan Akers; and his siblings, Ed Akers, Daniel Joseph Akers, David Akers, Sharon Akers, Erma Alexander, Emma Grow and Bettie Allman.
He is survived by: his sons, Greg Akers (Sheryl) of Washington Twp and Brian Akers (Laura) of Weston; his siblings, Mary Hannon, Lana Adams and Roger Akers; his siblings-in-law, Richard Grow, Mike Meek and Mendy Meek Abrahamson; his niece Daphne Metts; his caregiver Carolee King; and his close friend Roger Mace. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home (5258 Washington Rd, Albany, OH 45710).
