With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Smith of Alliance, Ohio, born in Hartville, Ohio, who passed away on September 3, 2021 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty Smith to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dan C. Schlabach and Alta Schlabach (Hostetler); her husband Gerald E. Smith; and her siblings, Eli, Calvin, Daniel Jr. and Sara Hostetler.

She is survived by: her children, John Smith (Mary), Troy Smith (Kendra) and Holly Swonger (Cliff); and her siblings, Alta Rohrer (Paul), John Schlabach (Charlotte), Vern Schlabach (Toni), Wayne Schlabach (Priscilla), Clara Hostetler and Chris Schlabach. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
