We announce the death of Charles King of Alliance, Ohio, who passed away on July 13, 2026, at the age of 83. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward King and Georgia Henry King; and his godparents, Danny and Gwen Cherry. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Doyle Tharp King; his children, Omi Shannon King, Rhonda Cylle King, Shannah Tharp Gilliam (Jerrel) and Brandon Charles King (Candice); his grandchildren, Jaylon, Gentry, Richard "Wells" (Kate), Derrick Jr., Christianna, Christian Charles, Trinity (Xavier), Kellen, Khalil, Justice and Cynthia; and his siblings, Malik T. K. Farrakhan, Victoria Meadows, Donald Brooks, Walley Florence, Tom Fugate, Sam Longmire and MacArthur Drake. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family; dear friends.
