It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Deacon Ray Hatala (Alliance, Ohio), born in Youngstown, Ohio, who passed away on March 22, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hatala and Mary Hatala (Holecko); his children, William (Billy) and Mary Hatala; and his brother John M. Hatala.
He is survived by: his wife Susann Barbara Skebo; and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Hatala of Poland and Joseph Skebo of Youngstown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that any material contributions take the form of donations to the Hospice of the Valley Hospice House in Poland, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, Ohio 44514, or to, in Deacon Ray's words, "anything to help the poor.".
