It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Oyster of Alliance, Ohio, who passed away on January 14, 2026, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna May (Haines) and Charles Frederick May; her husband Melvin F. Oyster; her sisters, Catherine Wurgler Taylor, Marilyn Bash (Ray), Mary Ann Rudolph (Roland) and Margie Legros (David); and her in-laws, Ruth, Melvin "Bummie" Snode, Beverly, Jay Karlen and Joan Oyster.
She is survived by: her children, Duane Oyster (Michelle Jaworski) of Alliance, OH, Dean Oyster (Rhonda Buck) of Denver, NC and Denise (Oyster); her grandchildren, Sarah Brogan (Geoff), Jennifer McGoff, Jill Wilson (Danny) and Daniel ONeal (Lauren); her stepgrandchildren, Michael S ONeal (Elvira), Amber Millerchip, Rob Jaworski (Alyssa) and Alexis Jaworski; her great grandchildren, Emily Moore, Chloe, Connor McGoff, Amelia, Andrew Wilson and Luke ONeal; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Ashley ONeal, Ella Millerchip and Riley Jaworski; and her brothers-in-law, Herbert Oyster of Alliance and Ray Oyster (Pat) of Columbus, GA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
