He is survived by: his wife Mary Cox; his children, Krista Cox-Williams (Jim) and David Cox Sr. (Jamie); his grandchildren, Amanda Reikowski, Davey Cox Jr. (Brittany), Kali Williams, Caden Williams, Megan Harbert (Josh) and Ashley Hennis (Kyle); and his great grandchildren, Savannah, Alex, Jasmine, Emma, Gage, Chloe, Beau, Sophia, Austin, Riley, Caroline and Alyssa.
