He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Caruso and Frances Caruso (Igro). He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peggy" Caruso (Sax); his children, Steve Caruso (Robin) of Alliance, Dave Caruso (Robyn) of Alliance and Sally Buso (Bryan) of Rootstown; his grandchildren, Eric Caruso (Kristin), Cody Caruso (Georgina), Alyssa Arrese (Alejandro), Joseph Trocchio, Jr., Kimberly Caruso, Nicholas Caruso (Shannon) and Anthony Schneider (Angela); his great grandchildren, Emma, Eliana, Paislie, Hunter, Sophia, Reese, Olivia, Mia and Rocco; his brother Joseph Caruso; and his nephew Michael Caruso. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
