He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Kanagy and Norma Jean Kanagy; and his nephew Eric Musat. He is survived by: his wife Sue of Alliance; his sister Belinda Musat of Utah; his sibling's children, Brooke (Sean Leonard) of Utah, Will (Amanda Salazar) of California and Bryan Cole (Katie Cole); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Hannah and Shenan of Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Angels for Animals and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, organizations that Kean felt strongly about.
