Richard Earl Hudson Obituary

Richard Earl Hudson, 61, of Alliance, Ohio, born October 18, 1963, in Woodsville, New Hampshire, passed away on June 20, 2025, at 05:23 at Aultman Hospital in the company of his three brothers and daughter.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Pricilla Smith, his sister Jeanne Smith, brother, Tony Hudson and his grandson, Aiden Cundiff.

He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Hudson of Sebring, two grandsons, Orion and Ethan Emigh of Sebring, great grandson, Matteo Emigh of Sebring. Sister, Jackie (Tim) Shilling of Grand Island, New York, Robert (Terri) Hudson of Canal Fulton, Greg (Norit) Hudson of Medina, David Smith (Laura Lones) of Massillon, Leslie (Laura) Smith of Alliance, 14 nieces and nephews and 19 great nieces and nephews.

Richard graduated from Sebring Mckinley High School in 1982, where he was an active football player. Richard worked on multiple farms and held many jobs but ended up with his own dry wall business.

He loved gardening, playing cards and board games, watching football and was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan.

Richard had a couple nicknames that everyone knew him by: Pops and Icehouse Hudson. He was a friend to many and generally just liked to enjoy himself and make people laugh.
