He was predeceased by: his parents, Rodney Blake and Jeanette Blake (Riggs); his wife Mary Imogene "Jean" Blake (Earnest); his siblings, Beryl Blake, Gyles Blake, Clem Blake, Doris Gill, Harold "Wayne" Blake, Ronald "Neal" Blake, Rodney "Don" Blake and James "Jim" Blake; and his grandson Brian Blake.
He is survived by: his children, Anne McHam (Loyid), Larry Blake (Linda), Michael Blake (Jeanette), Lisa Hazen (Rod) and Darlene Baum (Jerry); and his siblings-in-law, David Earnest (Joy), Caryolyn Drizake, Freda West (John) and Linda Kinsey. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren.
Donations can be given in his name to Aldersgate Family Methodist Church.
