He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Dankanich and Alyce Radcliff; his stepfather Elmer Joseph Downs; his son Glenn Matthew Downs; and his sister Marlene Downs.
He is survived by: his wife Penelope Downs (Goodman); his children, William Gregory Downs (Toddie), Melinda Gay Peck (Darren), Christel Lynne Wetherstein (John) and Michael Brent Downs (Sheryl); his brother Steven Joseph Downs (Anita); his grandchildren, Will Downs, Liann Downs, Roland Lewis (Skye), Stuart Lewis (Emilia), Nathan Prioli (Morgan), Jenna Sander (Jonathan), Missy Taranto (AJ), Nick Deack (Kaylie), Allison Downs, Kelsey Downs and Natalie Downs; and his stepgrandchildren, Erik Peck, Amanda Peck and Justin Wetherstein (Caitlin). He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
