Vella left this world on February 28, 2026 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hinds and Rubie Hinds (Duncan); her husband Billy E. Brown; and her siblings, Wayne, Gene, Ed, James Hinds, Edith Grewe, Maggie McQueary, Lola Flowers and Connie Cravans.
She is survived by: her brother Doug Hinds (Pat). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Vella was also known for her crocheting, she made blankets hats, and scarfs donating many to who needed them. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to The Hospice of Dayton or the Evangelical United Methodist Church.
