He was predeceased by: his sister Janice Boch; and his grandson Zackery Balser. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, James Balser (Robin) of Lancaster, Shelly Wright (Larry) of Lancaster and John Balser of Lancaster; and his siblings, Tommy Balser, Karen Hollett (John) of Lancaster, Jane Westenhouser (Greg) of Lancaster, Marcia Keesee (Steve) of Lancaster and Sue Hargrove (John) of Pickerington. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
