He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilmer Mechling and Frances Mechling (Schwartz). He is survived by: his wife Betty Mechling (Spaulding); his daughters, Sharon Merrill of Amanda and Valerie Mechling of Amanda; his grandchildren, Matthew, Sonya, Trevor (Alexis Hemsworth) and Brian; his great grandchild Ava (Zach); and his brother Paul Mechling (Patty) of West Jefferson. He is also survived by many niece and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Taylor-Theller Funeral Home (111 W Main St, Amanda, OH 43102). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Spaulding Family Cemetery.
