She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Schert and Eleanore Schert; and her sister Marie Ripley. She is survived by: her husband Jay Burns; her sister Sandee Phillips (Bob); her children, Robert Wray (Valarie) and Lisa Wray; and her grandchildren, Devon, Jackson, Josephine, Scarlett, Eleanor, Zoey Zavodsky and Cooper Zavodsky.
For nearly a decade, she battled Alzheimer's disease, a journey that slowly changed so much, but never took away the love surrounding her.
