She is survived by: her parents, Anthony Schanz and Diana Staley; her brother Nicholas; her sister-in-law Stephanie Schanz; her siblings, Eric Schanz (Renee Campbell) and Kimberly Schanz; her aunt Carol; her uncle Gerald Yurek II; her cousin Gerald Yurek III; her great-aunt Jo Liming; her grandmother Reba Schanz; her great-uncle Tony; her aunt Delores Sapp; her grandparents, Michael and Carol Coon; her stepparents, Michael Staley and Judy Riddle; her friends, Jennifer Kutzko, Susan Raleigh Planck and Heather Rose; and her pet Harper.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Jessica's honor to the Lindner Center of Hope.
