He was predeceased by : his parents, Matthew Childs and Mildred Childs; his wife Bonnie Childs; his daughter Kim Treftz; and his brothers, Matthew Childs, Spencer Childs, Dick Childs and Harry Childs.

He is survived by : his sons, TJ Childs (Vicky) and Eric Childs (Denise); and his grandchildren, Ronnie Treftz, Jenny Treftz, Curtis Childs, Craig Childs, Annalee Childs and Johnna Childs. He is also survived by other loving great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
