He is survived by: his mother Audrey Jean; his wife Elizabeth "Beth"; his sons, Eric, Kevin and Danny Shirey (Rachel); his stepdaughters, Heather Gifford and Faith Ostmann; his sisters, Karen Zarrelli (Dennis) and Lisa Sauer (Rick); and his grandchildren, Taylor, Madelyn, Myra, Paisley and Maddy.

Visitation was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services (38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd, Elyria, OH 44035). A burial was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at the Camden Cemetery.
